Sydney
Tour - Whether you like to see the city by
foot, car, train, bus or other you will find the tours
that are offered in the area are wonderful. We do
recommend seeing the city with a guide as they provide
very useful information about the area and the history
of the city as they take you around to the different
sites. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes whenever
you are sight seeing. You want to be comfortable as
you see the sights.
The City of Sydney has only one
guided bus tour. It is called the Sydney Explorer.
This bus takes you to all the major attractions in
the City. The sites include The Rocks, Sydney Opera
House, Kings Cross, Chinatown, Queen Victoria Building
and Darling Harbour. The buses operate at 20 minute
intervals from 9:00am daily.
If
you want to see the city on your own we do recommend
the City Hopper. It is an unlimited all day rail travel.
You can find more information about it at this Website:
www.cityrail.nsw.gov.au/tickets/tourist_tickets.htm.
For another convenient way to get around the city
there is the Sydneypass (available for three, five,
and seven days) provides unlimited travel for the
duration of the ticket. Sydney also has the DayTripper.
It is an all-in-one day ticket that provides access
to all three modes of transport in Sydney. Ticket
holders can use the Sydney Buses, Sydney Ferries and
CityRail Suburban Services.
Below we have listed some of the Tours in
Sydney. There are plenty more. You may wish
to speak with your travel agent about which one would
be best for your situation. The tourist center can
also recommend tours of the area so you may wish to
speak with them also. Whichever tour you decide to
go on we know that you will enjoy seeing the Sydney
area.
